Thomas Robert Beverlin

Thomas Robert Beverlin, 89 of Whiting, passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday, June 30, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Barbara (nee Urbanczyk); loving dad of Linda (Milo) Dumezich and Michael Day; cherished grandpa of Anthony(Leah), Zachary, Jeremy(Agnes), and Melissa(Nathan); adoring great grandpa of Grace, Anika, and Nolan.

Private services were held, there was no visitation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting.  Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Tom Beverlin was born on January 31, 1934 to Thomas and Elizabeth (Satak) Beverlin. A longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community, he was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1952. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Rotary Club. Tom had spent his entire working career in the banking industry serving as a Bank President for over 50 years. He was an avid reader and Chicago Cubs fan. He was a great animal lover, he loved to go dancing and attended all of his grandchildren’s sporting events as a Whiting Oilers fan. Nicknamed the “Silver Fox” by his friends, he had a great sense of humor.  Devoted to his family, Tom will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
