Stella M. Staley (nee Lawson) 65 of Whiting, passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Franciscan Health, Dyer. Beloved mother of Brian Staley, Glen (Samantha) Staley and Christina (Dan Trusty) Staley; loving grandmother of Cole, Jeffrey, Mason, Tyler, Abbey, Emma and Kinsley; special friend and companion, Loren Krieps; dearest sister of Betty Lawson, Donnie Lawson, Ernie Lawson, Charles Lawson and the late Howard Lawson; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 3:30pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; visitation at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00pm to time of services. (due to the current health situation, face masks are recommended, social distancing is suggested.) Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.
Stella Staley was born on November 21, 1956 in Gary, Indiana to Willis and Eva Lawson and was a resident of Whiting for over 30 years. Stella loved to shop but her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren. Devoted to her family, Stella will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
