Roberto Cortez

Roberto Cortez, 64 of Chicago, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2020 at the Little Company of Mary Hospital, Evergreen Park, Illinois. He is survived by his beloved wife of 31 years, Lorena (nee Castillo); loving father of Minerva, Roberto, Jr., Catherine and Jacqueline; dearest grandfather of five; cherished son of Socorro Cortes and the late Isias Cortes; dearest brother of eight siblings; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Roberto will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th St., Whiting from 2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm (with no more that 50 people in the funeral home at one time, masks and social distancing are required, temperatures will be taken.) A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, June 12, 2020 at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting (no more than 50 people at Mass). The Mass will be live streamed at www.stjohnbap.org. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com; interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL.
