Robert J. Kwasny

Robert J. Kwasny, 63 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at his residence. He was a loving father of Shalena Bailey, Stacey Negrete, Jenna (late Dwain) Cook and Jamie (Thad) Thompson; cherished grampy/grandpa Bob of Alyssa, Briana, Adrian, Olivia, Lucas, Emette, Jiovanni, Breccan, Nolan, Liliana, and Gabriel; dearest brother of Richard, Terry and Tim (Vivian) Kwasny; dear uncle of Kevin and Kyle.

Visitation will be at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, IN on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, from 3:00pm to time of funeral services at 7:00pm with the Rev. Charles W. Niblick, officiating; cremation to follow. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Robert Kwasny was born on November 29, 1960 to Ignatius and Sylvia (Bajda) Kwasny and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. He was a member of St. Adalbert Church,  and was a retiree of US Gypsum with over fifteen years of service. Robert was an avid fisherman, and he loved making others laugh. Robert also enjoyed having a beer with his buddies in the “Garage” or at Center Lounge. Devoted to his family, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
