Ramona R. (Morales) Villalon

Ramona R. Villalon (nee Morales) 75 of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at the SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital, St. Charles, MO. She is survived by her beloved husband of 52 years, Hector; loving mother of Hector Luis (Jackie) Villalon, Jr., Vincent Villalon, Blanca (George) Rooke, Martin Villalon, Gabrielle (Marco) Lecea, Francisco (Rachel) Villalon and the late Rueben Villalon; cherished grandmother of George Michael Rooke, Martin Anthony Villalon, Jr., Keegan (Mariah) Rooke, Vanessa Villalon, Alicia Villalon, Marco Antonio Lecea, II, Francisco Villalon, Jr., Isaac Aurelius Lecea and Nevaeh Arraio Lecea; adoring great grandma of Emilia Olena; dearest sister of Marguerite Viteri, Victoria (Ernesto) Gonzalez, Martha (Jesse) Jimenez, Josephine (Robert) Valencia, Anita Rocha and the late Dolores Jane (Ricardo) Coy; dear sister-in-law of Rueben Reyes, Paula Gomez and Linda Robinson; proud aunt of many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am directly at the Nativity of Our Savior Church, 2949 Willowcreek Road, Portage, IN with the Rev. Kevin P. McCarthy, officiating; interment to follow at Calvary Cemetery, Portage; visitation at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

Ramona Villalon was born on January 24, 1943 in Aurora, Illinois to Martin and Amelia Morales. She was a longtime resident of Whiting and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting. Ramona was a licensed beautician and excelled in cutting hair. She enjoyed sewing, the Chicago Bulls (big Derek Rose fan) and she loved baseball, especially the Cubs and Sox. A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Ramona cherished the time babysitting for her grandchildren and she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
