Paula J. (Krizo) Dado

Paula J. Dado (nee Krizo) 69 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at her residence. Beloved wife of 50 years to Martin J. Dado; loving mother of Neil Dado, Sam (Chrissie) Dado, Gina (Mat) Hytinen, Nicholas Dado, Matthew (Mara) Dado and the late Martin J. Dado and Joshua D. “JD” Dado; adoring grandma of Emma, Daphne, Reed, Alyssa, Alex and Lily; cherished sister of Roxanne (late Stanley) Bartoszek and the late Rick Krizo and Dennis Krizo; dearest sister-in-law of Joseph (Patrice) Dado, Paula Franiak and Beth Kasper; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, Indiana, there was no visitation. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Hospice of the Calumet Region, 600 Superior Avenue, Munster, Indiana 46321, would be appreciated.

Paula Dado was born on August 28, 1953 to the late Paul and Joanne (Opat) Krizo and was a lifelong resident of Whiting. She was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1971 and went on to earn a Degree in Nursing from Purdue University, Calumet. A Registered Nurse, Paula was a retiree of the Hammond-Whiting Care Center, with a service of 25 years. She enjoyed knitting and gardening, but above all, spending time with her grandchildren. A devoted wife and mother and grandmother, Paula will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
