He was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1965. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He was a member of the American Legion, Whiting Post 80 (memorial service, Wednesday at 6:30pm) and the Whiting-Robertsdale Boat Club. He was an electrical-instrumentation retiree of the Lever Bros. Co., Hammond, with a service of 34 years and was a member of the Lever Bros. Retirees Club. Butch dedicated 15 years of his retirement working with and supporting his son at “the Office.” While never once wanting to be in the spotlight, he maintained all aspects of the building by keeping it spotless, respectful, and safe for countless friends and patrons to enjoy. Butch enjoyed fishing and boating, visiting with “Babbs” and spending quality time with his grandchildren. Devoted to his family, Butch will undoubtedly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
