Patricia A. Gorczyca

Patricia A. Gorczyca, 73 of Whiting passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at her residence. Loving sister of Agnes (late David) Geary and Frank (Barb) Gorczyca; cherished aunt of David Geary, Jennifer Geary, Melanie (Kevin) Dzado and Frank Gorczyca, adoring great aunt of Nikki (Eric) Cohen, Zachary, Becky Geary, Jackie Geary and Amanda Rivera; proud great, great aunt of Kayla and Emily Dzado, Mackenzee, Frankie, Madisyn and Gunner Gorczyca.

Patricia Gorczyca was born on September 5, 1947 to Frank and Sophie (Taraj) Gorczyca and was a lifelong resident of Whiting. She was a member of St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, where she attended St. Adlabert School and was a graduate of Bishop Noll Institute, Hammond, Class of 1965. Devoted to her canine and feline companions, Patricia was a dedicated volunteer at the Whiting Gimme Shelter (for pets) for many years. She was a retiree of the MacArthur Foundation, Chicago, with over 20 years of service. A talented artist, Patricia excelled at watercolor paintings and ceramics, teaching ceramics at her home for many years. Devoted to her family, Patricia will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting Gimme Shelter (for pets) P.O. Box 591, Whiting, Indiana 46394 would be appreciated.
