Norman Hill Obituary

Norman W. Hill, Jr., 67 of Whiting, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. Beloved son of the late Norman W., Sr. and Helen S (Harris) Hill; cherished brother of Kathy (Joe) Baran; dearest uncle of Randall (Carrie) Holland and Kate (David) Funk; dear great uncle of Natalee, Charlie, Sean, Kathryn, Sophie, Davie and Vivienne; special friend and caregiver, Amber Moore and family.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th St., Whiting, there was no visitation. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Norman Hill was born on March 26, 1954. He was a lifelong resident of Whiting and was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1972. He was a retiree of the City of Whiting with a service of 18 years. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose, the Sons of the Amvets and the Sons of the American Legion, Whiting Post 80. An avid baseball fan, Norman enjoyed trips to the Baseball Hall of Fame, Cooperstown, New York. Devoted to his family, Norman will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
