Nancy A. Rock (nee Perry) 76 of Whiting, IN entered heaven into the loving open arms of our Lord Jesus Christ and her beloved husband, Kenneth, on Monday, December 11, 2023 while her devoted daughter Carrie and devoted grandson Joshua were by her side and holding her hand. She was born on December 19, 1946 to Rev. W.C. and Carrie B. (Johns) Perry. In her teen years, Nancy was a Job's Daughter at the Whiting Masonic Lodge. She was a proud graduate of Whiting High School, working at the Hoosier Theater her Senior year to help pay for her class trip to Washington D.C. She was a former employee of Employers Mutual Casualty Insurance Co. in Chicago. Nancy met the love of her life, Kenneth M. "Kenny" Rock at Art's Drive-In diner in Whiting, IN. Nancy and Kenny were married at Whiting Baptist Church in 1966 and were married for 49 years until his passing in 2015. They had one child they lovingly named Carrie, after Nancy's mother. Nancy loved the Lord and enjoyed reading the Bible and was an avid reader of all kinds of books. She was also an animal lover and avid bird watcher feeding the birds and squirrels that came to her porch every day and looked forward to spotting the 1st robin of Spring every year. Nancy loved family vacations, researching genealogy with her daughter, thrift shops, watching The Andy Griffith Show and Alfred Hitchcock, spending time at Whiting and Forsythe Parks, and sitting on the porch enjoying an ice cold Diet Coke on a warm day. Nancy was a great cook but truly loved to spend time dining out with her daughter and precious grandson, always insisting it was "her treat!" Left behind to treasure the years we were so blessed to have with her are her devoted loving daughter Carrie J. Rock and devoted treasured grandson, Joshua C. Klein. God couldn't have blessed us with a Mom and a Nana who could love us more because she loves us with all her heart, forever and always, as we do her. Also surviving: her brother John A. Perry; In-Laws: Clarine (late Charles) Baldwin, Linda (late Harold), Dickie Rock, Freddie and Linda Rock, Phil and Vicki Rock, Roger and Sharron Rock, and many nieces and nephews. Preceeding her to heaven were her parents, Rev. W.C. and Carrie B. Perry, brothers Carl, Calvin, and Roy Perry, father and mother in-laws Edward L. Rock and Neoma M. Rock, brother and sister in-law Jerry and Betty Rock, and special fur-babies Pepper, Sissy, and Kiko. We love you Mom/Nana, forever and always XOXO
