Michael Alan Plesha

Michael Alan Plesha, 58 of Whiting, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at his residence. He was the loving father of Curtis (Annie) Plesha and Ian (Vianca) Plesha; adoring grandpa of Ethan Plesha; beloved son of Frances (Troksa) Plesha and the late Nicholas Plesha; dearest brother of Jeniffer Plesha, Cynthia Colvin and Kristine (William) Greer; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 8:00pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th St., Whiting. Visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00pm to time of services. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Michael Plesha was born on December 5, 1963 in Gary, Indiana and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. He was currently employed by Miller K Market, Gary, for the past 14 years. He enjoyed playing billiards and darts, a good round of poker, electronic bingo and was an avid Oakland Raiders fan. Devoted to his family, Michael will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
