May E. (Lindgren) Geber

May E. Geber (nee Lindgren) age 101 of Whiting, past away peacefully on Thursday, May 15, 2025 in Valparaiso. She was the beloved wife of the late John Geber who passed away April 18, 2010; loving mother of Joseph (late Joyce) Geber, Steven (Karen) Geber and the late Robert J. Geber; cherished grandmother of seven; adoring great grandma of nine.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, IN from 5:00p.m. to time of services at 6:00p.m., with Pastor Tom Norwalk, officiating. Expressions of Sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

May Geber was born in Stokholm, Sweden on January 21,1924 and was a resident of Whiting for the past 73 years. She had been a member of the former Plymouth Congregational Church, Whiting, the Loyal Order of Moose, East Chicago Lodge  and was a retired manager from the Whiting McDonald’s. She enjoyed bowling, bingo and trips to Las Vegas. Devoted to her family, May will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, would be appreciated.
