Mary Ellen Groyza

Mary Ellen Groyza, 71 of Porter, formerly of Whiting, passed away peacefully on the morning of Monday, October 16, 2023 at her residence. She was the beloved daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Lasky) Groyza; loving sister of Kathleen Groyza and Michael Groyza.

Mary Ellen Groyza was born on July 17, 1952 and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. She was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1970 and was a former employee of Hart, Schaffner and Marx, Chicago, with over 25 years of service. She enjoyed weaving and travel and was member of the Nappanee Button Club. Mary Ellen will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
