Martin J. Dado

Martin J. Dado, 73 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 26, 2025 at his residence. He was the beloved husband of 50 years to late Paula J. (Krizo)  Dado who passed away August 10, 2023; loving father of Neil Dado, Sam (Chrissie) Dado, Gina (Mat) Hytinen, Nicholas Dado, Matthew (Mara) Dado and the late Martin J. Dado and Joshua D. “JD” Dado; adoring grandpa of Emma, Daphne, Reed, Alyssa, Alex and Lily; cherished brother of Joseph (Patrice) Dado, Paula Franiak and Beth Kasper; dear brother-in-law of Roxanne (late Stanley) Bartoszek; proud uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, Indiana, there was no visitation. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com. Marty Dado was born on April 6, 1952 to Joseph and Betty (Harp) Dado and was a lifelong resident of Whiting, He was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1970 and went on to earn his Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University Calumet. He was a US Airforce Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant and was a retiree of the Inland Steel Company (Cleveland Cliffs), East Chicago, with over 30 years of service. Marty enjoyed hunting, camping, hiking and cultivating Bonsai Trees. Devoted to his family, he will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
