Maria Clara Hall (nee Duran) 74 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 18, 2022 at Journey Senior Living of Merrillville. She was the beloved wife of the late Ronald D. Hall who passed away January 30, 2008; loving mother of Brian Tavoletti and Phillip Tavoletti; cherished grandmother of Michael, Craig and Raymond; dearest sister of Ruben Ochoa, Gilbert (Sarah) Duran, Janet (late Richard) Cavanaugh, Elena (Dale) Creiger and the late Andrew (Gloria) Ochoa and Joe Delgado; many dear nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 10:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S. of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, officiating; interment to follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Maria Clara Hall was born on March 9, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois and was a resident of Whiting for the past 41 years. She had worked at Kaplan Shoes, East Chicago and in Child Day-Care for many years. She loved her Siamese cats, flowers and gardening, picnics and traveling. Devoted to her family, Maria Clara will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
