Lynn M. Duimich, 78, of Whiting, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Monday,  August 26, 2024. A courageous cancer survivor for 33 years, she was the cherished daughter of the late Davorin and Mildred Duimich and the beloved sister of Cynthia (Bruce) Cave, the late Margaret Krvjansky, and the late Frank V. Born on August 1, 1946, Lynn’s life was deeply rooted in the Calumet Region, where she remained a lifelong resident. A proud graduate of Washington High School in East Chicago, she went on to attend Purdue University and the Don Roberts School of Beauty. Lynn’s faith was the cornerstone of her life as a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Whiting. Lynn’s work life included positions at Marvin’s in Indiana Harbor, Hair Performers in Merrillville, co-proprietor of Hair Graphics in Dyer, Shefsky & Froelich Ltd. – Chicago, Diversified Chicago, and 15 years in the Public Safety Department at Calumet College of St. Joseph, a role she embraced with unwavering commitment. Lynn's spirit shone brightly through her involvement as a beloved Pierogi Fest Busha, where her warmth, humor, and vivacious personality touched the hearts of many. Her fun-loving and charismatic nature left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.
