Luelle M. Kutcka (nee Obuch) 82 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, July 24, 2025, surrounded by her most precious family, at her residence. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard; loving mother of Scott and Stephanie; cherished sister of Geraldine (late Steven) Riebe and the late Ambrose, Walter and Donald Obuch; dearest sister-in-law of Monica, Helen and Cynthia Obuch, Cathy and Carol Kutcka; many dear nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 10:00am at St. Adalbert Church, 121st Street and Indianapolis Blvd., Whiting, with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S. and Rev. Bruce Riebe concelebrating the Mass; interment of cremains to follow at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the church on Friday morning from 9:00am to time of services. Luelle Kutcka was born on January 9, 1943 to Walter and Mary (Komar) Obuch. A lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community, she was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1960 and was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting. She was a retiree of the Whiting Public Library with a service of 40years and was a volunteer at Nathan Hale School, Whiting, for 17 years. Luelle loved flowers, enjoyed gardening and music but most of all the time spent with her family. A devoted wife and mother she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the National Alzheimer Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60601, would be appreciated.
