Obituary

Kenneth L. Sencaj, 73 of Whiting, passed away Sunday, September 10, 2023 at Harbor Health and Rehabilitation Center, East Chicago. He was the beloved husband for 46 years to the late Carol (Lemley) Sencaj who passed away March 12, 2022. He is survived by his brother, Randall (Susie) Sencaj and two nephews, John Sencaj and Michael Sencaj.

Kenneth will be interred next to his beloved Carol at Wadestown Cemetery, Wadestown, West Virginia, there was no local visitation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, Indiana. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Kenneth Sencaj was born on October 2, 1949 to Louis and Frances (Jambre) Sencaj. He was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of St. Lawrence Seminary High School, Mt. Calvary, Wisconsin.  He went on to earn multiple degrees in education, radiology and a masters degree in nursing. Kenneth was a retired trauma nurse serving at several area hospitals. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Whiting, was an army veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and was a classic car buff. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
