Justin M. Bobos, 27 of Munster, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 in Santa Barbara, California. Beloved son of Anna (David) Rumas and Michael (Tina) Bobos; loving brother of Sarah Bobos, Renee Rumas and Cindy Rumas; cherished grandson of Gerald Bobos. He will be dearly missed by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Justin’s Life will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 at 11:00am with the Rev. Charles W. Niblick of St. Maria Goretti Church, Dyer, officiating; cremation to follow. Justin Bobos was born on February 14, 1996. A lifelong resident of Munster, he was a graduate of Munster High School, Class of 2014 and earned his Associate Degree from SAE Sound Audio Engineering School, Chicago in 2017. Justin spent his professional career in the music/entertainment industry and was a very talented DJ and Producer. He was more than just a master of the turntables and studio. He was synonymous with a serene and inviting demeanor that colors every interaction. At the core of Justin’s character was his inclusive nature. Whether orchestrating beats at a club, immersed in studio work, or engaging with fans, Justin radiated an approachability that effortlessly sets people at ease. Witnessing one of his performances was not merely about the music; it’s an immersion into an environment where the audience becomes part of a unique and shared experience. Justin’s warm smile and amiable demeanor transform every event into a communal gathering, weaving strangers into a connected crowd bonded by their mutual love for music. His ability to maintain composure under pressure was not just a display of professionalism; it mirrors his grounded and composed personality. Whether troubleshooting technical glitches in the studio or adapting to unforeseen changes during a live set, Justin’s serene and collected approach guaranteed a seamless and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Devoted to his family, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
