Joseph M. Hasik

Joseph M. Hasik, Sr., 59 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Thursday., July 11, 2024 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. He is survived by his beloved wife of 25 years, Mary Lynn (nee Danko); loving father of Joseph (Jennifer), Cory, Sarah and Jacob; cherished grandpa of Alexander and Matthew; dearest son of Marianne and the late Joseph Hasik; dear brother of Gail (late Stephen) Koch and Donna (late Donald) Keller; many in-laws, nieces and nephews and his treasured canine companion, “Cali”.

A Celebration of Joseph’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 3:00pm, concluding with services at 7:00pm, at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; with the Rev. Charles W. Joseph Hasik was born on November 28, 1964 and was a resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community for the past 23 years. He enjoyed building model airplanes and tanks, playing softball, was an excellent mechanic and the neighborhood’s #1 handy man. He was the Director of Sales for HQ Productions. Devoted to his family, Joseph will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting “Gimme Shelter” (for pets), P.O.
