Obituary

John “Morty” Demkovich, 65 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 25, 2023 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. He was the beloved husband of MaryLynn Demkovich for 33 years; loving father of John II and Jade Demkovich: brother of Daria Demkovich Schooler, MD and  Sandor (Frank Hattula) Demkovich.  He was preceded in death by his Father Paul J Demkovich (1995) and Mother RoseMary (Pesick) Demkovich (2017)

 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, Indiana, there was no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 19, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Whiting-Robertsdale Boat Club in Whiting Park, 117th Street and Robert J. Bercik Drive, Whiting. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

 

Morty enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a member of The Whiting Boat Club. Devoted to his family, Morty will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

 

Morty’s Last Cast;

Life wouldn’t even be possible without the gifts of Mother Nature. Morty has always respected Mother Nature and has returned to her safety.
