Joann Buksar was born on November 9, 1931 to Michael and Mary (Vomish) Churosh. She was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of Catholic Central (Bishop Noll Institute) High School, Class of 1949. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, where she was a devoted member of the St. John Adult Choir for many years. She enjoyed making ceramics, playing pinochle, the occasional trip to the casino, but above all was the love she had for her family. A devoted wife, mother and grandma, Joann will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. John Adult Choir, 1849 Lincoln Ave., Whiting, IN 46394 would be appreciated.
