James J. Jamrosz, 76 of Whiting, passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Hammond-Whiting Care Center. He is survived by his beloved wife of 46 years, Deborah Jamrosz (nee Baltes); loving father of Joshua (Lynda) Jamrosz of Humble, Texas and Benjamin Jamrosz of Rensselaer, Indiana; proud grandfather of Elijah and Eliana Jamrosz of Humble, Texas; dearest brother of Barbara Szczepanski of Charleston, South Carolina and the late Donald Jamrosz; cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.
A private family funeral service will be held at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 with Pastor John DeAlba of the Living Water Church, officiating . Visitation will be open to family and friends on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. (Due to the current health situation a limitation of 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at one time, face masks must be worn, social distancing is expected and temperatures will be taken.) James Jamrosz was born on September 20, 1944 to Joseph and Mary Jamrosz. He was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1962. He was a retiree of the Lever Bros. Co., Hammond with 30 years of service. He attended the Whiting Assembly of God Church. He loved to study God’s Word and teach Sunday School and Bible Prophecy. Devoted to his family, James will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society or the National Kidney Foundation, would be appreciated.
