Jack Winthrop Cummings, III, 46 of Whiting passed away suddenly on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at St. Margaret Hospital, Hammond. Beloved son of Jack W., II and Pamela J. (Olszewski) Cummings; loving brother of Teri (Robert) Borho; cherished uncle of Anthony, Matthew and Rachel; dearest grandson of Theresa and late Joseph Olszewski and the late Jack W., I and Jeanette Cummings; aunts, uncles and cousins.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at 11:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S., of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, officiating; visitation at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00am to time of services.
Jack Cummings was born on March 24, 1975 in Hobart, Indiana. He was a longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1993. He was a former employee of NB Coatings, Lansing and enjoyed music, art and his canine companions. Devoted to his family, Jack will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Heart Association or Regional Mental Health Center, 3903 Indianapolis Blvd., East Chicago, IN 46312, would be appreciated.
