Henry J. Bugajski, 68 of Munster, passed away suddenly on the morning of Friday, May 23, 2025 at his residence. He is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Elizabeth (nee Ubik); loving father of Lauren and John (Bianca); adoring “Papa” of Joey Petrasek and Meredith Bugajski; cherished brother of Andy (Debbie) Bugajski, Brian (Sharon) Bugajski and Melani (Ernie) Macielewicz; dearest brother-in-law of Mike Ubik, Sheila (Mark) Kobli and Jim (Jeani) Ubik; dear uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025 at 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial being offered at 10:00am at St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, with the Rev. Charles W. Niblick, officiating; interment, Concordia Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00pm. Henry Bugajski was born on October 6, 1956 to Joseph and Sophie (Murzyn) Bugajski. Growing up in the Whiting-Robertsdale Community, he attended St. Adalbert School and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1974. A lifelong resident of the Calumet Region, he was a member of St. Thomas More Church, Munster and was a retiree of the Mittal Steel Co. (Cleveland Cliffs), East Chicago, with a service of 46 years. Henry was an avid Chicago White Sox, Bears and Blackhawks fan, but above all loved spending time with his grandkids. Devoted to his family, he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
