Glenn A. Slater

Glenn A. Slater, 67 of Whiting, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021at Amita Health LaGrange Hospital, LaGrange, Illinois. Loving father of Suzette (Kevin Zatorski) Slater and Dolores (Will) Slater-Lingvay; adoring grandpa of Vincent Allen Lingvay; dearest step-father of Danny Prodanic, Mike Prodanic and Donna Prodanic; dear step-grandpa of Thomas, Mike, Robert and Alexandria; cherished brother of Shirley Slater, Linda (John) Lynch and the late Donna Slater; special niece, Marie Irving; proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 6:00pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th St., Whiting, IN; cremation to follow; visitation at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00pm to time of services. Glenn Slater was born on January 8, 1954 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Glendon and Dolores Slater and was a longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community. He was an employee of Ingredion Incorporated with over thirteen years of service. Glenn loved all things about cars and was a member of the NRA. Devoted to his family, Glenn will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Wounded Warriors Project, would be appreciated.
