Ezequiel “Beto” Contreras. 42 of Whiting, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 13, 2023. Loving father of Seth Contreras Olvera; beloved son of Sara Orozco Silva and the late Antonio Contreras; cherished life partner, Michelle Briones; dearest brother of Hilda, Araceli, Gabriela, Adriana and Antonio (Patricia) Contreras; many dear nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 8:00pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. Eduardo Malagon of St. Casimir Church, Hammond, officiating, cremation to follow; visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00p.m. to time of services. Ezequiel Contreras was born on March 5, 1981 in Jalisco, Mexico. A longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community, he was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School and was a talented construction carpenter. He enjoyed playing volleyball, bean bags, bocce ball, darts and billiards, participating in many tournaments. Devoted to his family, Ezequiel will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him
