Dusanka Djordjevich-Tobias

Dusanka Djordjevich-Tobias, 63 of Whiting passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Community Hospital, Munster. She is survived by her beloved husband of 28 years, David A. Tobias; loving mother of David Alexander Tobias; cherished sister of Walter (Anita) Djordjevich and the late Louis Djordjevich; dearest kumovi, Mary and MoMo Rankovich; dear sister-in-law of Kevin Tobias; nieces and nephews.

Dusanka was born on January 31, 1958 in East Chicago, Indiana to Radisav and Slavisca (Andrich) Djordjevich. She was a graduate of East Chicago Washington High School, Class of 1976 and the Davenport Business College. A lifelong resident of the Calumet Region she was a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church, East Chicago and was an employee of the School City of Whiting with over ten years of service. Dusanka was an excellent cook and loved to work in her garden. A devoted wife and mother, she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting Food Pantry, P.O. Box 591, Whiting, IN 46394, would be appreciated.
