Dora Temores, 82 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. She was the beloved wife of 57 years to the late Antonio Temores-Lomeli who passed away April 13, 2021; loving mother of Jessica (Alejandro) Narvaez, Tony (Angie Comacho) Temores, Dora (Michael) Rose, and Julissa (Job) Gomez; cherished grandmother of Staci, Nino, Brett, Michael, Erica, Julissa, Jeramie and Julius; adoring great grandma of Melania, Jake, Giana, and Mack; dearest sister of Minerva Jaquez, Gil Flores and the late Salvador (Rosa) Valle and Cecelia Valle; many dear nieces and nephews; her devoted pets, “Brody”,”Khloe” and the late “Smokey”.
Visitation at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 from 4:00 to 8:00p.m.; parish wake service at the funeral home on Wednesday at 4:30p.m. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2024 with a Mass of Christian Burial being offered at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 119th Street and Lincoln Avenue, Whiting, Indiana with the Rev. Dora Temores was born on March 10, 1942 in Beeville, Texas and was a resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community for the past 47 years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and was a retiree of Trinity Hospital, Chicago, with a service of 39 ½ years. Dora was hardworking, a great animal lover and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
