Donna M. Pesenko (nee Cross), 88 of Crown Point (Winfield), formerly of North Hammond and Whiting, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Life Care Centers of Valparaiso. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Raymond J. Pesenko who passed away January 1, 2017; loving mother of Sheri (Mike Knoll) Floyd and Ronald (Kimberly) Pesenko; cherished sister of the late Dolores (late Donald, Sr.) Geffert; many dear nieces and nephews
Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 10:00am, with a Mass of Christian Burial being offered at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church 509 W. Division Rd., Valparaiso, IN, with the Rev. Michael Kopil, officiating; interment, Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso; visitation at the church on Saturday morning from 9:15am to time of services. Donna Pesenko was born on September 4, 1937 to Joseph and Helen (Demkovich) Cross. A lifelong resident of the Calumet Region, she was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1955. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Valparaiso and was a former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, where she served as an organist for many years and was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc., BR. 81. She was a retiree of the banking industry with over 25 years of service. Donna loved to cook and bake and enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. A devoted wife and mother, Donna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, would be appreciated. (219) 659-4400.
