Deborah Therese was born into life on June 20, 1970, to Duane and Julia Conover of Whiting Indiana. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Kenneth, mother Julia, and grandparents. She is survived by her loving son Samuel, father Duane; siblings, William, Mary, Margaret, and Olivia and was a wonderful Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Raised a Catholic, she attended Sacred Heart School, Bishop Noll Institute, Butler University and Calumet College of Saint Joseph. She received her bachelor’s degree in finance and graduated with the highest honors of Summa Cum Laude launching her career into the financial sector. A lover of the performing arts, she was passionate about theater, dance, and music. She obtained her real estate license in 1988, making her the youngest agent in the state of Indiana at the age of 17. A martial artist by degree, Deborah held a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. She was an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, and participated in numerous races, always with a cause in mind. Her philanthropic endeavors included fundraising for childhood leukemia for the Indianapolis Leukemia Society. Deborah was a joyful person and would often put a comedic spin on a tough conversation or situation. You always knew when she was in your corner. Others knew it too, by her loyalty and friendship. Her unwavering faith in Christ was apparent to all who knew her. The love for her son Sam and her family was fierce and unconditional. She was a champion for the common man, always finding a way to connect with everyone she met. Her indomitable strength and courage were her best assets. No storm could shake her faith in God. She will be dearly and forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, from 5;00 to 7:00pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at Sacred Heart Church, 118th Street and LaPorte Avenue, Whiting, with the Rev. Jay Nuthulapati, officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sacred Heart Church, 1731 LaPorte Avenue, Whiting, Indiana 46394, would be appreciated. (219) 659-4400.
