Christine L. (Kujawa) Wright

Christine L. Wright (nee Kujawa) 58 of Hammond, formerly of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at the St. Mary Medical Center, Hobart. She is survived by her beloved husband of 12 years, Erick; loving mother of Christopher Tyler and Jessica Marek; biological mother, Anita Gasper; dearest sister of Sonya (Mike) Weeks, Sherry (BJ) Trepanier and Randall (Renee) Thomason; nieces and nephews; her canine companions, “JoJo”, “Buddy”, “LuLu” and “Brutus”.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 119th Street and Lincoln Avenue, Whiting, Indiana, with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S., officiating. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting, IN. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Christine Wright was born on May 22, 1966 in Chicago, Illinois and was raised by her adoptive parents, the late Chester and Theresa Kujawa. She was a graduate of Lourdes High School, Class of 1984 and was a resident of the Calumet Region for the last 13 years. Christine was a Home Health Care Caregiver and enjoyed music, knitting, arts & crafts, the beach and above all time with family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
