Charles L. McCarter

Charles L. McCarter, 56 of the East Side of Chicago, passed away peacefully on the early morning of Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at Trinity Hospital, Chicago. Loving father of Charles, Michael and David McCarter; cherished  grandpa of Jullian and Macee; dearest brother of Martha Wills, Steve McCarter, Robert, Mark and Melanie Gutierrez and the late Walter Thompson; mother of his children, Julie McCarter; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 2:00 to 4:00pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Charles McCarter was born on March 10, 1967 to the late Harvey McCarter and Yvetta (Wynn) Gutierrez and was a longtime resident of the East Side Neighborhood of Chicago. A self-employed handy man, he was very mechanically inclined. He enjoyed working on cars and fishing. Devoted to his family, Charles will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family would be appreciated.
