Carolyn S. (McGhee) Hartsell

 Carolyn S. Hartsell (nee McGhee) 76 of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Jones F. Hartsell, Jr. who passed away May 17, 2010; loving mother of Ronald Hartsell, David Hartsell, Randy (Susan Maginot) Hartsell, Rebecca (Jason) Sheets and the late Daniel Hartsell; cherished grandmother of Brianna (Andrew) Meeks, Jocelyn Johnson and Alyssa Orozco; adoring great grandma of Loghan, Aidan, Ryder, Raelyn and Addison; dearest sister of Elaine (late Raleigh) Hinkle, Nancy (late Paul) Glair, Kathleen Augsten and the late Samuel (late Eileen) Richeke; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, May 30, 2024 at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting from 5:00pm to time of services at 7:30pm, with Pastor Paul Vale of the New Life Christian Church, Whiting, officiating. Carolyn Hartsell was born on March 16, 1948 in Ruth, Arkansas to Otis and Ermadeen (Wells) McGhee. She was a resident of Whiting for the past 55 years and was a member of the former Community Bible Church, Whiting. She was a dedicated babysitter to hundreds of kids and enjoyed being babysitter and “Mom” to all the neighborhood. Devoted to her family, Carolyn will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
