Carol A. (Conger) Shabaz

Carol A. Shabaz (nee Conger) 66 of Whiting, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. She is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 50 years, Edward Shabaz; loving mother of Nicole Shabaz and Sherri (Zach) Ziller; adoring grandmother of Robbie Ziller and AJ Hobson; cherished daughter of Thomas Conger and the late Virginia (Marlow) Conger; dearest sister of Tim (Sandy) Conger and the late Thomas Conger; dear sister-in-law of Michael (Lisa) Shabaz, Susan (Floyd) Demmon, Samuel Shabaz and Debi Shabaz-Brock; nieces and nephews.

Carol Shabaz was born on December 1, 1956 and was a lifelong resident of Hammond. She was a graduate of Morton High School, Class of 1975. Devoted to her family, Carol will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her
