Brent E. Kruse

Brent E. Kruse, 84 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024, surrounded by his most cherished family. He was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Kaminsky) Kruse; loving father of Carol Ann Garreffa, Robert (Theresa) Kruse and Mark (Yesika) Kruse; cherished grandfather of Ricky Styr, Nicholas,  James and Michael Garreffa, Daniel Kruse, Ricardo, Carlos and Jazmin Larrea; adoring great grandpa of Tyler Garreffa and Sofia Hall; dearest brother of Sandy Rosson, Gail (late Vernon ) Stocking and the late Armin Kruse; nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th Street, Whiting on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 from 5:00 to 8:00p.m. Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Brent Kruse was born on April 8, 1940 and was a longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community. He was a retired switchman for the railroad with a service of 40 years. An avid bowler, Brent was a tournament champion with an 1800 series and multiple 300 games. He also liked to gamble, golf and play billiards. Devoted to his family, Brent will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice, would be appreciated.
