Betty Dado was born on April 20, 1933 in Evansville, Indiana, the fourteenth of sixteen children, and was a resident of Whiting for the past 60 years. Betty loved a party, she was a mother to everyone, a stranger to no one, and loved to spend sunny afternoons in the bleachers at Wrigley Field with her husband Joe watching their beloved Cubbies drinking a beer. She loved spending time with her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren, often cooking wonderful meals for them, especially her mostaccioli and world-famous mashed potatoes. Devoted to her family, Betty will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
