Auby Jean (Lee) Butler

Auby Jean Butler (nee Lee) 85 of Whiting, Indiana, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday. August 18, 2024 at the Munster Med-Inn, Munster, Indiana.  She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Butler, Jr. who passed away December 22, 2014; loving mother of James (Julie) Butler (WPD), Sherry Jean (Raymond) Pacheco and Tina (Russell) Atteberry; cherished grandmother of eight; adoring great grandma of six; dearest sister of Shirley (late John) Lane, Tommy (Karen) Lee, Donna (Dale) Rhodes and the late Tony (late Betty) Lee; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.                                                                                                    

Local arrangements have been entrusted to the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting, there is no local visitation. Funeral services will take place in Corinth, Mississippi with burial in Carpenter Cemetery, Burnsville, Mississippi. Expressions of sympathy may be placed online at www.baranfh.com.

Auby Jean Butler was born on November 2, 1938 in Corinth, Mississippi to Hillie and Addie (Burcham) Lee. A longtime resident of Whiting, Auby Jean was an employee of Weiner Foods, Whiting, with over 20 years of service. She enjoyed playing “Bingo”, loved her Boston Terriers and especially spending time with her grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting “Gimme Shelter” (for pets) P.O.
