Anthony Scott Petkus

Anthony Scott Petkus, 31 of Whiting, passed away Friday, July 2, 2021 at Christ Hospital, Oak Lawn, IL, following a valiant battle with Covid-19. He is survived by his beloved son, SJ Weston; loving son of Marianne Weston Petkus; cherished brother of Linda (David) Gaudette and Shiann Redenbaugh; dearest uncle of Haley Gaudette and David Gaudette, Jr.; special nephew of Robert Jozwiak and Robert Redenbaugh; many cousins.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 7:00pm at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th St., Whiting with Pollard Mercer of Hammond Baptist Church, officiating; friends are invited to meet with the family from  5:00pm to time of services. (Due to the current health crisis, face masks must be worn in the funeral home and social distancing is expected.) Expressions of sympathy may be placed on-line at www.baranfh.com.

Anthony Petkus was born on February 22, 1990 in Hammond, Indiana and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. He was a former employee of the City of Whiting Park Department. He enjoyed golfing and bowling and was active in the former Whiting Community Center Bowling Leagues. Devoted to his family, Anthony will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the family, would be appreciated.
