Ann C. Watkins

Ann C. Watkins, 56 of Whiting, passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, December 30, 2021, surrounded by her most cherished family. Loving mother of Noah, Sarah and Nicholas; adoring grandma of Gabriella and Noah, Jr.; cherished daughter of Maureen (late James) Toth and the late Gary N. Leach; Life Companion of Thomas Grenchik; dearest sister of James (Chantal) Toth, Natalie Toth, Michael (Shari) Toth, Elizabeth (Thomas) Eggers and Timothy (Jill) Leach; many dear nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th Street, Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am at Sacred Heart Church, 118^th St., and LaPorte Ave., Whiting, with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating; interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL; visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm. Ann Watkins was born on October 7, 1965 in Wooster, Ohio and was a longtime Whiting resident. She was a graduate of Whiting High School, Class of 1983 and was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Whiting. She spent her working career in the insurance industry and was a former employee of Up for Grabs Restaurant, Whiting. She BEST enjoyed being a mother and grandmother. She also enjoyed coaching little league and being a girl scout leader. Her gift was bringing joy to others and making people laugh. Devoted to her family, Ann will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
