Ann Marie (Santay) Novak

Ann Marie Novak (nee Santay) 56 of Whiting, passed away suddenly Thursday, August 1, 2024, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward G. Novak who passed away February 18, 2011; loving mother of Christine (Evan) Hobbs; adoring grandmother of Lillith Hobbs; and many dear cousins.

A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 9:00 am to time of services at 11:00 am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. Charles W. Niblick, officiating; interment of cremains to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond. Expressions of sympathy may be placed online at www.baranfh.com.

Ann Marie Novak was born on July 30, 1968, to the late Eugene A. and Kitty B. Santay. She was a lifelong Whiting resident and valedictorian of the Whiting High School Class of 1986. She went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Indiana University. She was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, BR. 81 and was active with the Second Chance 4 Pets Network. She loved to cook, bake, watch her favorite shows, and spend time with her family, She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
