Anita Marie Rosen

Heaven welcomed a new angel, Anita Marie Rosen, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary (Shabi) Rosen, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 19, 2026 at the Community Hospital, Munster, with her brother, Gregory, at her side. Cherished sister of Gregory (Cheryl) Rosen and Raymond (Joanne) Rosen; dearest aunt of Thomas Rosen, Michael (Teresa) Rosen, Joseph Rosen, Raymond (Michelle) Rosen and Kimberly (Mick) McAvoy; great aunt of three; one great, great niece.

Private funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 25, 2026 at the St. John Cemetery Chapel, Hammond, with the Rev. James Dvorscak, officiating. Anita Marie was born on January 15, 1943 and was a longtime resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community, residing at the Munster Med-Inn for the past seven years. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, the St. John Rosary Society and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc., BR. 81. She had resided at group homes of the Lake County ARC and Opportunity Enterprise, Valparaiso and participated at their workshops. She loved to play bingo and would always Bless herself before every meal, inspiring others to do the same.  Devoted to her family, Anita Marie will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
