Timothy J. Buksar

Timothy J. Buksar, 57 of Whiting passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at St. Catherine Hospital, East Chicago. Beloved son of JoAnn (nee Churosh) Buksar and the late Steve R. Buksar; loving brother of  Bob Buksar, Carol (Jim) Hoelzel, Mary Jo Colucci, and the late Terri (late Randy) Decker and Michael S. Buksar; proud uncle of Adam Hoelzel, Jessica (Hoelzel) DeBoer, Matthew Buksar, Sarah (Buksar) Enriquez, Michael and Andy Colucci.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2018, 9:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass will be offered at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S., officiating; interment, St. John Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm; members of the parish will offer prayers on Thursday at 4:30pm.

Tim Buksar was born on June 16, 1960 and was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community. He was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1978 and was a member of the Plumbers Union, Local 210. Tim loved to hunt and fish and had been a member of Ducks Unlimited. He was an avid Chicago Bears and Blackhawks fan in addition to being an awesome pinochle player. Devoted to his family, Tim provided loving care to his mother and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
