Stanley M. Rokosz, 70 of Whiting, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2018 at the Glenshire Nursing Home, Richton Park, IL. He is survived by his beloved wife, Linda (nee Piatek); cherished father of Diane (Jim) Young and the late Valerie Rokosz; dearest grandfather of Brian and Jeremy Young and Allison (Aaron) Iverson; dear brother of Peter Rokosz, Janet (Ronald) Lopacinski and Judy (Norman) Priebe; nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services were held.

Stanley Rokosz was born on December 21, 1947 to the late Stanley A. and Mary Jane (Drozdek) Rokosz. He was a lifelong resident of the Whiting-Robertsdale Community and was a graduate of George Rogers Clark High School, Class of 1965. He was a devoted member of St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, where he served as an usher for many years. Stanley was a US Army Veteran of the Viet Nam Conflict and was a retiree of the United States Postal Service, Whiting Post Office with a service of 38 years. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan and enjoyed fishing. Devoted to his family, Stanley will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Memorials to St. Adalbert Church, Whiting, would be appreciated.
