Paul and I were friends from the first day of kindergarten. We called ourselves bean bag buddies because we were taller than the others. I still have the photo of us for the 1956 dedication of St. John's the Baptist school. Paul and I share the same month of birth, April 1951. Mine is April 26th and Paul's was April 28th. Every year we went thru grade school and high school I would always give him birthday wishes on the 28th. On my most recent birthday, just a few days ago, my wife and I went to a beautiful beach here in northern Florida where I have been living since 1985. At the beach I wondered to myself what Paul would be doing for his birthday, as I have done this every year since grade school. I was so disheartened to get an e-mail from my sister saying Paul had died. My long time buddy and wonderful friend. I will still keep him in my memory until my days are up. With deepest sympathies to the entire Strabavy family. Daniel Senko

I have known Paul since our years at St John the Baptist grade school. We played sports together at St John's and at Clark high School. I will miss him very much. May God keep his soul comfortable in his loving hands

I first met Paul when we were students at St. John's School in Whiting. He was one of the best athletes in football and basketball. Paul had a good sense of humor and was fun to be around. Being one of the biggest guys in class, he always had your back. While I only saw him at Clark High School reunions recently I have a boatload of good memories from our elementary and high school years. My condolences to all of the members of his large family.

Paul, gone so soon we all wish you could have lasted forever but it's time for the Lord to summon you to another duty. We spent numerous years in st John and Clark and had a blast. Still remember pulling pranks on sister Hermana in st john. Family, stay strong and remember all the goods. Living out of state in Houston Tx. Wish I
Could be there for the services. RIP
Expression of Sympathy
