Patricia A. (Feeney) Ewing

Patricia A. Ewing (nee Feeney) 80 of Whiting, passed away Saturday, February 24, 2018 at the St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Center, Hammond.  Beloved mother of Michael Ewing, Khristina (Joe) Preneta, Walker (Ann) Ewing, Marty (Jennifer) Ewing and the late Christine Ewing; cherished grandmother of Michael Jay Ewing, Amber Ewing, Christine (Long) Kap, James, Chelsie, Lauren and Marty Ewing; adoring great grandma of Gabriel and Jaxon; dearest sister of Betsy Chorba, Kathleen (Bob) Pasztor and the late Mark (Annette) Feeney; proud aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018, 10:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating; interment to follow at St. John Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm.

Patricia Ewing was born on May 11, 1937 to Martin and Catherine Feeney and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. She was a graduate of Catholic Central (Bishop Noll) High School, Class of 1955 and was a US Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean Conflict. She was a talented draftsman and enjoyed drawing and loved her feline companions. Devoted to her family, Patricia will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the Whiting “Gimme Shelter” (for pets) would be appreciated.
