Nancy L. (Csonka) Iacobozzi

Nancy L. Iacobozzi (nee Csonka) 77 of Griffith, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019 at the Community Hospital, Munster. She was the beloved wife of the  late Timo Iacobozzi who passed away January 4, 2012; loving mother of Nadine (Brandon) Barnes and Dorine Iacobozzi; cherished sister of Kathy (Tyrone) Spry; dearest aunt of Wendy Spry and Bonnie (Clarence) Queen; great aunt of Danielle Spry; great, great aunt of Carter and Aiden; dear niece of Bernice (late Robert) Banas; many cousins of the Csonka and Perhach families; her devoted canine companion, “Luna”.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, 9:30am at the Baran Funeral  Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, with the Rev. Mark R. Peres, C.PP.S., officiating; cremation to follow; visitation at the funeral home  on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00pm; parish wake service at the funeral home on Tuesday at 4:30pm.

Nancy Iacobozzi was born on March 23, 1941 to Steve and Ann (Perhach) Csonka. She grew up on the East Side of Chicago and has been a longtime resident of Griffith. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association, BR. 81. Nancy loved to watch “Westerns” and was an avid reader. Devoted to her family, Nancy will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved. In lieu of flowers, memorials to her family, would be appreciated.
