Margaret G. (McSemek) Dowell

Margaret G. Dowell (nee McSemek) 91 of Hammond, passed away Friday, October 26, 2018 at Transition Life Care, Raleigh, NC. Beloved mother of Kenneth (Pam) Kubacki, Terry (Char) Enloe, Thomas Enloe and the late Kevin (Beverly) Kubacki; loving step-mother of Linda (Jim) Bourell, David (Karen) Dowell, Joan Stone, Jack (Lois) Dowell and Michael (Dinah) Dowell; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; special friend, Joan Michniewicz. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Jack Dowell and Garland Enloe; three sisters, Lillian Noecker, Irene Zurowski and Dorothy Zabrecky and a brother Walter McSemek.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 11:00am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119^th St., Whiting with the Rev. Stanley J. Dominik, officiating; interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City, IL; visitation at the funeral home on Friday morning from 9:00am to time of services.

Margaret Dowell was born on January 29, 1927 in Whiting, Indiana to Frank and Edna Lena (Homan) McSemek and was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting, was a volunteer for the St. Margaret Mercy Healthcare Center Auxilliary, Hammond, for many years and was a licensed beautician. Devoted to her family, Margaret will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
