Justine A. Bobos (nee Habell) 79 of Hobart, formerly of Whiting, passed away Saturday, August 19, 2017. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Richard; loving mother of Janet (Chuck) Warner, Mark (Joellyn Shelhart) Bobos, Karen (Tony) Rohrman,, Ruth (Steven) Shirk, Vicki (Fernando) Loredo and the late Cheryl Lynn Mireles; “Amazing Grandma” of Lauren and Jeremy Warner, Alicia (Kevin) Bouckaert, Alyssa (Greg) Demetrakis, Corey Shirk, Paige, Breanne and Will Loredo and Sam Rohrman; adoring great grandma; dearest sister of Roberta (John) Massack, Peter (Danielle) Habell, Matthew (Debbie) Habell, Loris (Robin) Hill, Dave (Karen) Habell and the late Robert (Eva) Habell, Pamela Tamborski and Bryan Habell; many nieces, nephews and cherished extended family members.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 25, 2017 at 10:30am at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting; a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting with the Rev. John E. Kalicky, C.PP.S., officiating; interment, St. John Cemetery, Hammond; visitation at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00pm; parish wake service at the funeral home on Thursday at 4:30pm.

Justine Bobos was born on June 26, 1938 to Robert and Anne Habell. She was a lifelong resident of the Calumet Region and was a graduate of Hammond High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Whiting and the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Assoc., BR. 81. Justine received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate from the Calumet College of St. Joseph, Hammond and was a Companion for the care of the elderly. She enjoyed teaching piano and was an organist at St. John Church. She was an avid doll collector and enjoyed traveling the world. Justine loved all things “trendy and new”, family gatherings, especially during the holidays and her “Grand Babies”. Devoted to her family, Justine will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her
