Gregoria Munoz, 76 of the East Side of Chicago, passed away peacefully on the morning of Wednesday, April 26, 2017 surrounded by her family at her residence. She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Vincent; loving mother of John (Monica), Manuel (Petra), Alicia (Victor) Pulido, Joel (Maria), Maricela (Manuel) Herrejon and Maribel (Peter) Ornelas; Cherished grandmother of seventeen; adoring great grandma of three; dearest sister of Jesus (Maria del Carmen) Munoz, Alfoncina Munoz, Rosario (Trino) Solis, Estevon (Maria Concepcion) Munoz, Felipe (Cesaria) Munoz, Antonio Munoz, late Maria del Carmen Munoz and late Porfiria Munoz; dear aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 1, 2017, a Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:00am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church,  3200 E. 91st St., South Chicago with the Rev. Hector Navalo, officiating; interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City; visitation at the funeral home on Sunday April 30, 2017 at the Baran Funeral Home, 1235-119th St., Whiting from 2:00 to 8:00pm.

Gregoria Munoz was born on May 9, 1940 in Leon, Mexico to Aristeo and Fernanda (Solis) Munoz. She was a resident of Chicago for the past 40 years and was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church, Chicago. Gregoria was a very talented seamstress and enjoyed walking, gardening and trips to Mexico. Devoted to her family, Gregoria will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
